Art, Booze, and Beats
Locking the door behind, you feel eyes on your back from the house across the street. Turn and there's no one. Familiar stares through the shutters of a deserted market, behind a diner, in the swirls of a Victorian cornice. Do these imprints of humanity linger in the door frames, within the window panes, or just in your mind. Beside the tracks, the cars squeal to a stop and the doors to slide open. Your heart skips when you see, towards the front of the car, the back of her head. Hair draping over a scarf wrapped tight, you approach the seat beside when she turns and you realize...you are just Strangers on a Train.

In his second solo show at D-Structure, Alec Huxley continues his venture
into environments with the lingering touch of people. Ghostly flashes
of femme fatale's occupy his new paintings and charcoal eyes hide behind
the outlines of San Francisco architecture on wood panels. Affordable
prints and limited edition t-shirts on hand as well.

Lower Haight Strret Art on the News
It's nice to live in a neighborhood where the limits of creative expression is a vigorous and equally sided debate. Featured on the local news on Wednesday: including the Lower Haight Mural (and fleeting glimpses of my contribution), D-Structure, and Lower Haighters.

Lower Haight Mural
It was an honor to be asked to help refresh a part of the Lower Haight Mural Project that had been too tagged up. Life is pretty great when you're on Haight street, its 85 degrees out, and you're making cool art surrounded by the work of other amazing artists. Thanks to Thea and Devon and all the rad people that stopped by to visit. Check it out at Haight and Laguna if you're in SF.
