Hashima

Hashima, or Gunkanjima (Battleship Island), a 15 acre island owned by Mitsubishi for coal mining until 1974 sits rotting off the coast of Nagasaki. Boats are allowed to travel to the island since last year, though you're "not permitted to enter the structures." Now added to my fantasy travel list along with Prypiat, Ukraine, Varosha, Famagusta, and I guess Detroit.

Classy As Fuck

Cosmonaut

Not bad for my first try - 4 year old clay, a bamboo skewer, and a steak knife.
Polymer clay, acrylic, and spray paint.

Watercolors

I'm on a watercolor/pen 'n ink kick now. Spending the last couple years trying to hone my acrylic skills and I forgot how free and easy watercolors can be.

D-Structure

Forgot to mention that I have some pieces up right now in the group show area at D-Structure on Haight Street. Really cool store that I discovered pretty soon after we got down here so I'm stoked.
